Students from the eight-member alliance participate in a 8 to 10 week research internship. This research program is supported and coordinated by the Alliance State Office. Summer internships often take students to research institutions, government laboratories, and industrial sites. This is the most effective and efficient way these resources are shared. The University of South Carolina, South Carolina State University, Clemon University and the College of Charleston continue to serve as in-state host sites for students from Alliance partners to conduct research.
