Six alliance institutions funded undergraduate students to conduct research during the academic year. This activity has been institutionalized across the alliance. Over 100 Level I and Level II students from South Carolina State University, Claflin University, College of Charleston, University of South Carolina, Benedict College and Voorhees College participated in mentored research projects in the following areas: Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Engineering, Engineering Technology and Mathematics.
